MPAF Montreal Printed Arts Festival 2025

17.06.2025

After a three-year hiatus, we were thrilled to bring back the Montreal Printed Arts Festival (FAIMTL), which took place from April 29 to May 10, 2025! In collaboration with Arprim, Atelier Circulaire, L’imprimerie, Daphne, Zocalo, Atelier-Galerie A. Piroir, and other key players in the field, the festival made a strong comeback with a host of activities: exhibition openings, artist talks, and creative workshops.

On Saturday, May 10, the Afromusée (533 Ontario Street East) hosted the GRANDE Printed Art Fair for the first time, gathering more than 50 artists and organizations. True to previous editions, this event offered the public a unique opportunity to discover, connect with, and purchase original works such as screen prints, letterpress pieces, engravings, and lithographs.

For the first time in the festival’s history, the GRANDE Expo, FAIMTL’s official after-party, followed immediately after the Fair at Le Cheval Blanc bar. This closing event brought together the works of a dozen artists, as well as a series of miniatures specially produced for the Distroboto machines.

The festival also placed a strong emphasis on emerging voices, featuring presentations from Pica Magazine (affiliated with UQAM’s School of Design) and À Flots, an interdisciplinary publication. Several studios and artist centres also opened their doors to the public, including Centre Daphne, Atelier-Galerie A. Piroir, Atelier Circulaire, Zocalo, L’Imprimerie, and Arprim.

Most of the events were free and open to everyone.

The festival website is available here, and here is the Facebook page.
